This garlic and herb dip is a quick, creamy and flavour-packed sauce that goes with just about everything. Whether you're serving it with pizza, crispy chicken wings, wedges or fresh vegetables, it's a simple homemade dip that's ready in minutes.

We love the garlic and herb dip that comes with pizzas from Dominos, always hoping that more tubs will come with some of the sides!! Try this homemade version with homemade or shop bought pizza.

It'll keep in the fridge for 2 to 3 days if stored in an airtight container.  Stir before serving. 

Tips

  • Optional variations: 
    • Garlic yogurt dip - replace the soured cream with low fat natural or Greek yogurt. 
    • Spicy garlic dip - add chopped red chilli or chilli flakes. 
  • This garlic and herb dip recipe is easily adapted if you're cooking for less or more people.

How to make this Garlic and Herb Dip

Ingredients

  • 80g light mayonnaise (I like Heinz) 
  • 80g soured cream 
  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil 
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar 
  • 2 tsp lemon juice 
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed 
  • 1 tsp dried parsley 
  • 1 tsp dried oregano 
  • a pinch of sugar 
  • salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste 

Instructions

  1. Use a whisk or spatula to combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl, then transfer the dip to an airtight container.  For best results, make ahead (at least 4 hours or overnight) and keep it in the fridge before transferring to a serving dish.
